Updating to Version TC28


Important! - This process will clear all information from the Time Clock, including Punch Data and User Settings.

Collect all punch information from the clock prior to beginning.


TC23

If you have version TC23 - you should update the clock version because your punch information can become corrupt.

This is a major re-write to the Time Clock and you settings cannot be retained through this update. Please take a moment to document your current settings before proceeding. If you are uncertain how to document your current settings, you can follow the insturctions located on this Settings Record.


At the Time Clock Terminal:
Press CLEAR then FUNC/ENTER
Display = FUNCTION ?
Press 6
Display = SETUPS briefly
Then = ENTER PASS KEY
Default = 1234
Key your Manager Pass Key followed by FUNC/ENTER
Display = 3 item rotating menu
Press 2
Display = TERMINAL SETUP briefly
Then = OPTION: 0=MENU
Press 1
Display = GENERAL SETUP briefly
Then = ENTER TIME briefly
Then = 24 HOURS HHMM
Press FUNC/ENTER
Display = 24HR 1=YES 0=NO
Press FUNC/ENTER
Display = MODEM 1=YES 0=NO
Press FUNC/ENTER
Display = UPLOAD TIME HHMM
Press FUNC/ENTER
Display = UPLOAD PHONE #
Press FUNC/ENTER
Display = DOWNLOAD PHONE #
Enter 1 360 737 0777 followed by FUNC/ENTER
Spaces are shown for clarity and are not necessary. Remember to use a "1" to dial long distance and add any required digits to access an outside line or permit long distance calls.
Use the "-" (dash) character for a 1/2 second pause during the dialing sequence.
Display = KEYS 1=YES 0=NO
Press FUNC/ENTER
Display = TERMINAL NAME
Press FUNC/ENTER
Display = TERMINAL NUMBER
Press FUNC/ENTER
Display = DIAL POLL 1=YES
Press FUNC/ENTER
Display = SER POLL 1=YES
Press FUNC/ENTER
Display = NEW PASSKEY
Press FUNC/ENTER
Display = VALIDATION 1=YES
Press FUNC/ENTER
Display = SCROLL SPEED 0-9
Press FUNC/ENTER
Display = VERSION NUMBER
Enter TC28 then press FUNC/ENTER
Display = SWIPE GO 1=YES
Press CLEAR then FUNC/ENTER
Display = FUNCTION ?
Press 0
That's "zero" not "oh"
Display = DOWNLOAD?
Press FUNC/ENTER
Display = DIALING
Then = WAITING FOR ANSR
Then = COMMUNICATING
Then = DOWNLOADING
Then [dashes]
Which are replaced by [asterisks]
Then DOWNLOAD COMPLETE

OK - Now your Time Clock version is upated to TC28. To return your clock settings to their original values, proceed below. At each prompt, input your original value followed by the FUNC/ENTER key. For any value that was blank in the original settings, simply press FUNC/ENTER to skip the item.

Remember to use 1 for YES or ENABLE and 0 for NO or DISABLE


Restoring Settings

At the Time Clock Terminal:
Press CLEAR then FUNC/ENTER
Display = FUNCTION ?
Press 6
Display = SETUPS briefly
Then = ENTER PASS KEY
Key your Manager Pass Key followed by FUNC/ENTER
Display = 3 item rotating menu
Press 2
Display = TERMINAL SETUP briefly
Then = OPTION: 0=MENU
Press 1
Display = GENERAL SETUP briefly
Then = ENTER TIME briefly
Then = 24 HOURS HHMM
If the time was already correct, you do not need to set it again.
Otherwise, Key your correct time followed by FUNC/ENTER
Use 2 digit HOUR and 2 digit MINUTE
Use 12~23 for HOUR if it is after noon
Use 00 for HOUR if it is between midnight and 1AM
Example: 3:30 PM = 1530
Proceed with each item, restoring the origninal values from your Settings Record that you created above. Submit each entry with the FUNC/ENTER key

Once you have completed the General Settings, your display will return to OPTION: 0=MENU

Press 2
Display = PEOPLE SETUP briefly
Then = BADGE 1=YES 0=NO
Proceed with each item, restoring the origninal values from your Settings Record that you created above. Submit each entry with the FUNC/ENTER key
Note: For "STANDARD..." items, do not use 1 and 0 for Yes and No - Instead either supply a value if you need one, or press FUNC/ENTER if you don't use a standard value.

Once you have completed the General Settings, your display will return to OPTION: 0=MENU

Press CLEAR
That's it! The clock is updated and ready to use.
