Daylight Saving Time
To determine which Time Clock model you have, click here.
Collect all punch information from the clock prior to updating any clock version.
Several versions of Time Clock software have been shipped by Sundial. Only Time Clock versions TC26, TC27, and TC28 can self adjust for Daylight Saving Time. Version TC26 self adjusts based on the old rules. TC27 uses the new rules, but fails to operate consistently in the spring changover.
TC28 self adjusts for DST correctly.
TC28
If you have version TC28 - there is nothing to do. This version is already compatible with the revised rules
TC27, TC26, TC25, TC24
If you have version TC27 - you should update the clock version because it will only work for the November time change.
If you have version TC26 - you should update the clock version because it will self adjust automatically according old rules.
If you have version TC25 or TC24, updating is optional. If you don't update, the clock will not self adjust and will need to be manually adjusted the way that previous Time Changes were done.
To Update, follow the step by step instructions here.
TC23
If you have version TC23 - you should update the clock version because your punch information can become corrupt.
This is a major re-write to the Time Clock and you settings cannot be retained through this update. Please take a moment to document your current settings before proceeding. If you are uncertain how to document your current settings, you can follow the instructions located on this Settings Record.
To Update, follow the step by step instructions here.
