1.Connect the device to the PC via an ethernet network cable (no power).

2.Set your local PC IP address to 192.168.1.220. This is only temporary. To avoid interfering with any existing computers in a production network environment, we suggest having a separate tech PC to use for these types of firmware repairs.

2.Run tftpd64.exe and allow Windows Firewall permissions.

3.Run DeviceRescue.exe. a Comand prompt window should appear with constant pinging
ping 192.168.1.201 TimedOut
ping 192.168.1.201 TimedOut
ping 192.168.1.201 TimedOut
ping 192.168.1.201 TimedOut

4.At this point connect the power adapter to the timeclock. Press the power button on the left to begin the power on.

5.Wait a few minutes. The command prompt screen will eventually display "Successful operation" which means the tool transferred and extracted the repair package with success.

6.The clock will auto-reboot itself. If the repair tool was successful, the clock should boot to the usual main screen and no "lang error" or "authentication failure" message will appear.

7.If you have any additional devices with lang error or auth. failure issues, just close DeviceRescue.exe and repeat steps 3-6.
